Mark Tears it up at First Ever Sectional Meet for the HeadHunters!

Competing in a meet which wasn’t even on the schedule at the beginning of the season the LaCamas HeadHunters made a fine showing at their first ever Age Group Sectional Meet in Federal Way last weekend.  Amid many nationally ranked performances by some of the fastest age group swimmers in the United States our 7 swimmers more than held their own and really stepped up for our team.  Leading the way was Mark Kim (12), who made the finals (top 8) in both the 200 Free (1.58.68) and 50 Back (28.61) taking home 2 medals and improving his personal best times by more than 3 seconds in all 4 of his swims.  Well Done Mark!   Val Tikhomirov (11) was also in fine form improving his best times and placing top 16 in all 3 of his events. Julianne Reed (16) has maybe the swim of the meet when she had to swim-off for 10th place after prelims of the 100 Free, not only winning that swim-off but slicing 1.2 seconds off her best time and swimming a time (54.22) that would have placed her 2nd in the event!   Congratulations also to Abby Crowson (12), Sruthi Ravi (11), Jeff Fadlovich (13), and Luke Albert (13) all of whom represented our team very well over the weekend.  Yup Yup!!
