HeadHunters Battle the Elements and Each Other at Pentathlon

Dealing with driving rain for at least 2/3 of the meet Saturday the LaCamas Headhunters refused to back down and came away with some exceptional performances last Saturday at the MHS Pentathlon.  Mark Kim (12) enjoyed a very fast sprint meet posting wins in all 5 events. His 50 free time of 23.85 ranks him in the top 50 times in the United States this year and fastest in Oregon Swimming over the last year also!  Speedy!  Nabil Kalahiki (10) showed a great turn of speed in winning the 50 Free and 50 Back and taking 2 3rd place finishes.  Sruthi Ravi (12)  dropped almost a second in her 50 back to win that event in a very respectable 30.86.  Eric Wu (12) was also very fast for the early season posting personal bests in 3 of 5 events and taking 3 2nd place finishes and 2 3rds.  Nathan Kim(8) showed good 8&U speed to take 4 2nd places finishes! Also with top 3-finishes were Abby Crowson (12) 50 Fly and Camdyn Segall (8) 25 Back.   We had our biggest showing at a local away meet to date with over 60 Headhunters swimming at the meet. Nice Job guys!  Full Results here.
